Description

A creamy, cheesy pasta dish with savory kielbasa sausage, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the kielbasa from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cheddar cheese, Parmesan, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper until the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Return the kielbasa to the skillet and stir to combine. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat in the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any type of pasta you prefer.
  • If you want a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute the kielbasa with any other type of sausage.
