Description

A comforting fusion of stir fried rice noodles, tender beef, and gooey melted mozzarella tossed in a savory soy and oyster sauce blend.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dried flat rice phở noodles
  • 12 ounces beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh bean sprouts
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 whole lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat.
  2. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  3. Add vegetable oil to the pan and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Add sliced beef and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
  5. Add soaked noodles to the pan along with the sauce mixture and toss gently.
  6. Return beef to the pan and stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes until noodles are tender.
  7. Fold in shredded mozzarella and allow it to melt.
  8. Add bean sprouts, green onions, and cilantro, then toss briefly.
  9. Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges.

Notes

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Do not over soak the noodles.
  • Add cheese at the end to keep it stretchy.
