Description

Cheeseburger Tater Tot Nachos combine all your favorite burger flavors with crispy tater tots, melty cheese, and classic toppings – a fun and indulgent twist perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking beef)
  • Optional: shredded lettuce, jalapeños, sour cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden.
  2. While tots are baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Once tater tots are cooked, transfer them to an oven-safe serving dish or skillet. Top with the cooked ground beef and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  4. Return to oven for 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from oven and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, red onion, ketchup, mustard, and any additional toppings like lettuce or jalapeños.
  6. Serve immediately with optional sour cream on the side.

Notes

  • Substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian version.
  • Add bacon bits for extra flavor and crunch.
  • Use a squeeze bottle for drizzling ketchup and mustard neatly.
