- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking beef)
- Optional: shredded lettuce, jalapeños, sour cream for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden.
- While tots are baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Once tater tots are cooked, transfer them to an oven-safe serving dish or skillet. Top with the cooked ground beef and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Return to oven for 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, red onion, ketchup, mustard, and any additional toppings like lettuce or jalapeños.
- Serve immediately with optional sour cream on the side.
