Description

Caramel Apple Fudge is a sweet, creamy dessert combining the rich flavors of caramel and apple in a smooth fudge. It’s a perfect treat for fall or any occasion when you want something indulgent and festive.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apples (optional, for texture)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the heavy cream and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, and cook for 5 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar, stirring to combine, until smooth.
  5. Fold in the applesauce and white chocolate chips until well combined. If using dried apples, fold them in at this point.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  8. Once set, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your sweet caramel apple fudge!

Notes

  • This fudge can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • For an extra touch, drizzle with more caramel sauce or sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
  • If you don’t have dried apples, fresh diced apples can also work, but ensure they’re dried well to prevent moisture from affecting the fudge’s texture.
