Ingredients
- All-purpose flour, 3 cups
- Warm water, 1 cup
- Active dry yeast, 2 1/4 teaspoons
- Salt, 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil, 2 tablespoons
- Mozzarella cheese, 2 cups shredded
- Ricotta cheese, 1 cup
- Marinara sauce, 1/2 cup
- Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast, then add flour, salt, and olive oil to form a dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into portions and roll each into a circle.
- Place mozzarella, ricotta, marinara sauce, and seasoning on one half of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling, seal the edges well, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent leaking.
- Seal edges firmly with a fork.
- Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
