Description
Buckeye Balls are classic no-bake chocolate peanut butter treats with a smooth, creamy center and a rich chocolate coating. They are easy to make, perfect for gatherings, and loved for their nostalgic flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Ingredients
- Creamy peanut butter: 1 cup
- Unsalted butter, softened: 1/2 cup
- Powdered sugar: 3 cups
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips: 2 cups
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until a smooth, thick mixture forms.
- Roll the mixture into evenly sized balls, about 1 tablespoon each, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the peanut butter balls for 30 minutes until firm.
- Gently melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth.
- Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of peanut butter visible at the top.
- Place the dipped Buckeye Balls back on the baking sheet and allow the chocolate to fully set.
- Serve chilled or store for later.
Notes
- Chilling the peanut butter balls before dipping helps them keep their shape.
- Use creamy peanut butter for the smoothest texture.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best results.
