Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 34 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add milk and vanilla extract, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Divide dough in half and press one portion into the prepared pan.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling, then spread evenly over the dough base.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the filling and gently press down.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  8. Cool completely, then whisk powdered sugar and milk to make glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over cooled bars, let it set, then slice and serve.
