Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty, then allow it to cool.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl mix browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
- Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough balls onto the tray and bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
- Press extra chocolate on top while warm and sprinkle sea salt if desired.
