Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • Optional flaky sea salt, a pinch for topping


Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty, then allow it to cool.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl mix browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
  5. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop dough balls onto the tray and bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
  8. Press extra chocolate on top while warm and sprinkle sea salt if desired.
