Description

A quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish made with tender beef strips, ramen noodles, and stir-fried vegetables in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 packs of instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning)
  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and cornstarch if using. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, stir-fry the garlic, broccoli, bell pepper, and carrots for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, and pour the sauce over everything.
  7. Toss well to combine and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Top with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content.
  • You can substitute beef with chicken, tofu, or shrimp.
  • For extra spice, add a teaspoon of sriracha or chili flakes.
