- 2 large ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 to 4 tablespoons water (as needed for thinning)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
- Add sour cream, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, and salt.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Add water one tablespoon at a time to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust lime or salt as needed.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Use very ripe avocados for the smoothest texture.
- For a spicy kick, add jalapeño or chipotle.
- To store, press plastic wrap directly against the surface to prevent browning.
