- 2 cans (15 ounces each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel. Remove any loose skins.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
- Add chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne if using. Toss until well coated.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 5 minutes to crisp further before serving.
Notes
- Dry the chickpeas thoroughly for maximum crunch.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Allow chickpeas to cool completely before storing.
- If they lose crispness, air fry again for 3 to 4 minutes.
