Description

These crispy, sticky Air-Fried Gochujang-Maple Cauliflower Bites are tossed in a spicy-sweet Korean-inspired glaze and make the perfect snack, appetizer, or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (like canola or avocado)
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, toss cauliflower florets with oil, cornstarch, and salt until fully coated.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  4. Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  6. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine gochujang, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic powder. Heat for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Transfer the cooked cauliflower to a large bowl and toss with the warm sauce until coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy bites, let them sit for 2 minutes before tossing in sauce.
  • You can adjust the spice level by reducing the gochujang.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
